Ok, now THAT was windy. OP on 9.0 with a Tech. 64. I could have used maybe another 2cm. I understood the windward mark way too many times. What is this bay area coming too. If the world here's about the unbelievable wind we keep getting here, can you imagine the traffic. I do believe it was windier than the graph shows too.

So, I've decided to just stop sailing and just let Chris Rad. pass me up next time. Last year it happened just the same and I choked and lost my bullet. Anyway, this time I'm in 1st and he's in second. Apparently he is my jinx. I had such a great start on Port. So did Chris. We both were able to get above the rest of the starting fleet and just nailed the windward mark with no problem. Chris was about 100yrds behind me. I couldn't possibly blow this one. But I did. Fell in at the first leeward mark and guess what? The sail went strait down to the bottom. And guess what else? No uphaul line on this rig!! Well at least there's the bright side. I didn't come in last. I hope all of you had better experiences. My sentiments to Fernando. I hope you get well for the Nationals.....Z out

I've published our route from yesterday's calcup on the suuntosports web page. There is a cool track player on Suunto's website that lets you play the tracks that the watch records in real-time on a map. This track shows me leaving the beach, zig-zagging a couple of times lining up for the start, and runningthrough the course once from start to finish (this is from the first race of the day: code-named "Fernando"). If you want to see this, you can go to: http://www.suuntosports.com -log in as guest -click on the sailboat logo in the upper right hand side of the screen to enter the marine forum -find the track (it's called "06/12/04 by soheilzahedi 12.6 13:54 Calcup Coyote Point") in the "Latest Tracks" section of the marine forum page (midway down the page...) -click on the track date, and it will start playing (you might have to download and install the "curl" plugin in order to get it to work - it will prompt you to do that if it's needed...). Tips:-You can zoom the map via the magnifying glass. -You can load missing sections of the map via the "maps" menu by selecting the missing area, and clicking "load" -You can change the "play" speed via the "options" menu. a
